Rip off!

Presented at Ballarat's, Biennale of Australian Art 2018, RIP OFF! investigates the subject of the copy and its marvellous ability to remix culture.

It is given rise to by a lust for objectification of real things, for ownership or personalisation, production, concreting of something real from imaginary ideas or vice versa, and in contrasting the luxurious and the everyday.

RIP OFF! attempts to disguise the work in a context of high and low brow. Hand made, found, commercial and scientific glass has been used with mixed media, considering the philosophical and applied history of glass against the subject.
